Anastasia Beverly Hills: modern renaissance palette review❤

Today’s review is about most expensive and most beautifull palette😍 As you can see by the picture above, it’s about the anastasia Beverly Hills modern renaissance palette. I have to be honest, I have been wanting this palette for a long time, but I didn’t buy it myself, I won it at a raffle🙈 The colours are freaking awesome and the pigment is to die for. 

• The packaging

The packaging of this palette is really pretty, it’s a soft pink palette from suede. The whole palette is made out of suede or velvet, it feels really soft. The only thing about that is that it’s easy to damage. As you can see in the picture above, on the right there is a white spot, that’s because I scraped my nail against it.. At the front you can see the name of the brand and the palette and on the back it says what the ingredients are and how many product it contains.

• Swatches

So here are some swatches, the picture above is showing swatches from the first row.

Cyprus umber – love letter – antique bronze -buon fresco -vermeer – golden ochre-tempera

To get a better look at the colours I am showing this picture above. You can get a good look at the colours and the names of the colours. The colour range of his palette is amazing. You have 2 really shimmery colours, 1 colour with some glitter in it and then all mattes. Transitioncolours are in there, lid colours are in there, outer and inner corner colours are in there. There is a big variety and I really like that in a palette. 

Pros

• Great colour range
• Added brush is a good brush
• Great pigmentation
• For basic and wild looks
• Lovely design

Cons

• Very expensive palette 54,95€
• Suede is very quick to damage
• Not easy to get in the netherlands

Eyelook made using ABH modern renaissance palette

ACTION: max & more shimmer bricks highlighter❤

I AM SO SO SO EXCITED TO DO THIS ARTICLE😍. I’m doing a review on this shimmer brick highlighter from action. As you can see in the picture above, it looks really luxury and amazing. If I would show you the swatches without saying that I got it from action….you would think that it was an expensive highlighter. It is a dupe for the bronze shimmerbrick from Bobbi brown. Makeuprevolution also got some shimmerbricks like this. There were 3 different shades if I can remember right, a pink one that was more like a blush and the one I picked up is in number 01 nude.

The packaging doesn’t look very cheap. The box of the actual highlighter is plastic tho and it wouldn’t surprise me if it would easily break. 

Shimmerbricks are known for their different shades in one brick. You can give it one swipe along all the colours or you can just use the colours apart from eachother. Let me give you some swatches because I know that you are all waiting for them🙈

BAM, look at that pigment tho. I could cry for these swatches. When swatched the first colour from under I was already impressed to the fullest and then the gold colour came😍. I will also show you a swatch of all colours combined.

ACTION MAKEUP:db blush rose 043❤

I wanted to do a quick post about this blush that I picked up at action😍 when I go to the mall, I always take a look in the action and this time I found this lovely blush. It appears that they have a new makeup collection in store and this blush is part of that collection.

So it comes in this simple sleek packaging. You have the name of the blush, the ‘brand’ of the blush and the number….which is very handy. The packaging of the actual blush looks a little bit cheap, but it isn’t very breakable. I picked up the colour rose number 043. I must say, the colour payoff is amazing, the only negative thing that I have to say about it, is that it is very powdery and has a lot of fallout. But for the price of less then 1€ you can’t complain about fallout in my opinion.

The pigment isn’t playing, I have to be carefull not to put a lot on my cheeks. This was just one swipe. I apply it with a blush brush and make sure you dust of the excess, cause you will look crazy haha. The colour is really really pretty, you also had a peachy one and I think that I will pick that one up too very soon.

On a side note, I also got this bracelet  from action and wanted to share that because I sometimes see this bracelet for 3 times the price that this costs. It was less then 1€.

Winter eyeshadowlook for darkskin || COLLAB with beautybyadutchgirl💕

I’m am back with another post for you guys, this time a little different than my other posts. The fact is, I am doing a collaboration with anne from beautybyadutchgirl. We are both doing a winter eyeshadowlook blogpost, I’m doing one for the darker skin tones and she is doing one for the lighter skintone. I will link hers at the end of this post😊

So this was my winter eyeshadow creation from yesterday. For my look I used the NYX love in paris merci beaucoup palette, if you want to see some swatches etc. of this palette, click here. 

 

I used number 1 of the palette as a transitioncolour and then I used number 2 on the innerhalf of my eyelid. I left the outer part of my eyelid blank because I wanted to blacken that up. I did that with number 3 of the palette. Number 3 wasn’t black enough for the look I went for so I picked up some black eyeshadow from my flawlesspalette by MakeupRevolution. To see a post about that palette, click here. I brightened up my inner corner with a single eyeshadow from makeuprevolution named ‘heavenly’. That was pretty much it, I didn’t use a lot of colours for this look and it is a very easy one too!  I used gold because gold looks amazing on a darker skintone in my opinion and for depth I always darken up the outer part of my eyelid, it gives the look a little bit of dimension. For eyeliner I used my essence eyeliner, it is my all time favorite. Drugstore but really doing it’s job. I work at a club so I love that I can do a full face makeuplook. I only wear eyeshadow when I go out or if I go to work, because I haven’t experimented with matte colours yet.

Eyebrows on a budget with NYXCOSMETICS// anastasia dipbrowpomade DUPE

So as you all may know, I am a BIG FAN of anastasia BeverlyHills, especially their dipbrowpomade. I always purchase that one in the colour darkbrown. 

But after visiting the NYX STORE in bought this cute little eyebrowgel in the colour espresso, I have heard a lot of Good things about this product and then I bumped into to it so I HAD to buy it. 

First of all the packaging is very basic but kind of sleek. You have the particular product illustrated at the front with the name of it and of course the brand. And at the back it says all the ingredients and other ‘important’ stuff🙈, I actually never read the ingredients.

Now the packaging of the actual products is really interesting. It’s a tube, just like the L.A girl pro-concealers, if you want to see my review on them click here. I think it’s nice that you can see the actual colour that is in the tube, sometimes colours are different in real life than you see on the packaging. 

After watching a lot of youtube video’s and photos on the Internet I finally decided to get the browgel in the colour espresso. Noir is way to dark for me and brunette was way to ashy.

Espresso

The colour selection isn’t very wide in my opinion, the brunette is a weird colour and chocolate and blonde where really weird too. They all are really ashy. But I was really glad that the espresso was the right colour for me. It is a dupe of the dark brown dipbrow from anastasia BeverlyHills.

Because the product is in a tube, you have to work a little bit different with it than other products. What I do is, just put a LITTLE drup on the back of your hand and than just apply it on your brows with a brush that you would usually use. I use the anastasia BeverlyHills brush in the number 13. This is the best brush for your brows in my opinion😍

How I do my brows?

I first started with drawing a line under the brow, then I draw a line on top of the brow and deciding how to make the arch look. After that I just fill the brows in, very light handed at the front and heavy at the tail. You can get this budgetbaby at douglas or the NYX STORE in Amsterdam.

BeeBeeCosmetics makeupactie | Mattique Hybrid Lip Gloss-dolce Vita

I’m back with another review because I received the BeeBeeCosmetics mattique hybrid lipgloss in the colour dolce vita from makeupactie. If you never heard about makeupactie.nl just take a look in their website. They have another product every month and this month it was all about the glosses.

The packaging looks really cute,it’s simple…but cute. The brand and the name are written in the front and there is a pop of gold in the details. The applicator is surprisingly very good. When I see an applicator that looks straight and hard, I immediately think it’s horrible…but this one is really nice. It applies smooth and you only need one layer to get it right, of course you could build it up.

The lipgloss comes with a cute little card from makeupactie.nl. It says what the lipgloss does, a tip and how to get the lipgloss. They say that the gloss makes sure that your lips will be a real eye-catcher and that it has a matte, hydrating formula.

The colour is really pretty, dolce cita is a whine kind of colour and it stays on for a really long time. Even when I wiped the swatch from my arm with some makeupremover, it remained stained on my arm! It has a really strong sense to it, but I really like that. If you don’t like a strong sense to your lipsticks you would have to try to get used to it. It has the sense of a fruit, I think raspberry.

The Only thing that bothers me is that is doesn’t dry completely matte…. and they tip us to use a tissue to make it matte, but most of the gloss disappears when I try that. That is really the only negative thing about this gloss. It has a nice colour, it is longlasting and it is just 1,00 if you are a member of makeupactie.nl😍

NYX COSMETICS lip lingerie liquid lipstick: RUFFLE TRIM💕

I am back with a little review on the nyx lippies lingerie liquid lipstick in the colour ruffle trim. Yesterday I went to the opening of the first NYX STORE IN the netherlands that is in Amsterdam. I bought some stuff and I also got a few items for free. I will post a review on everything that I bought and that I received for free, so make sure to click the follow button.

So I got the lip lingerie in the colour ruffle trim and I must say, it is a colour that can’t easily be described. It is a nude kind of peachy colour. It is very different on darkskin in comparison with a light skintone, but I really like it on both. For swatches on darkskin you can check this video.

This is a swatch on my hand. Left is the product while it is still wet and on the right it is all dried up. I really like the colour, I don’t have anything like it in my collection so I am really exited to try it out. I already have one lip lingerie by NYX in the colour exotic and I really like the formula. It dries quick but it doesn’t dry striky. I also like that it has no smell to it! It lasts very long on the lips and I had to wash my hand with some oil to get the product off, that’s how good it dries😍

The applicator is the same as all the other lip lingeries. The applicator is okay, but I don’t like the fact that it is so hard. I can’t make a straight line with this applicator, but if you are used to using a liner with a liquid lipstick, it is no problem.

Sleek cleopatra’s kiss highlighting palette

As you maybe already know, sleek is one of my favorite brands. After launching two highlighting palettes they have launched a new one called cleopatra’s kiss. Let’s talk about the packaging

The packaging is the same as all the highlighting palettes. A black box with the name of the palette and a sneak peak of the colours in the palette. 

At the back it shows how to use the palette and wich colour you can use for particular areas on your face.

The actual highlighter is again in a golden packaging just like the solstice palette. Again very sleek and very subtle.

At the back it has the colours thats in the palette, again just like the other palettes.

The mirror is also present again wich is a really big plus. It’s big and it doesn’t clap. the palette includes the same brush that’s in the other palettes. I don’t really use that brush, the hairs are too stiff for me.

In order the colours are swatched from sphinx to delta to dynasty to goddes. You can definitely see that the textures of the cream ones are different than the powder colours. I am absolutely in love with this colours, I LOVE gold and this whole palette is just a dripping in Gold palette.

Cleopatra’s kiss is very suitable for woman of colour but I can also be pretty on a lighter skincolour. My favorite colours are sphinx and goddes but it has something to do with the fact that I have to learn how I can use a cream product the best. You can use this highlighters on your face but it would also look very pretty on your body, for example the shoulders or collarbone.

ColourPop x Karrueche Glo Up Super Shock Cheek Review

I am back with another blogpost and this time it is a review on the ColourPop glo up highlighter in collaboration with karrueche tran. I got this highlighter from my friend, thanks girl, and I must say…I love it already. To see my video on jeffree star skinfrost highlighter go click here.

Let’s talk about the packaging first. This is my first product from colourpop and I must say…I am very surprised by this product.

The highlighter itself comes in a cute little carton box with ‘superchock cheeck’ written on it. And at the back of the box it says  KAEPOP karrueche X colourpop, the collaboration for the brand.

Than the actual highlighter, it comes in a sleek little white packaging with a see-through cover. Again at the back it says KAEPOP and the name of the highlighter ‘glo up’.

The colour of the highlighter is a true bronzed golden colour. The substance of the highlighter is creamy and when I say creamy…. I mean really creamy. I am not a fan of cream highlighters, but this one is way different than other cream highlighters. When you give the highlighter a swipe with your finger, it feels like you are touching butter or something…I can’t really explain it. And you can use this one with a fanbrush, in contrast to other cream products.

These swatches are everything, although I am not that good in making swatches, the colour appears very well. As I said,a bronzy gold colour. I think it is PERFECT for woman of colour. Some highlighters may come off ashy on darker skin, but this one looks amazing!
